RLT Nutrition is committed to providing an inclusive, accessible service to everyone, regardless of disability, long-term health condition, neurodivergence, age, or any other factor that may affect how someone accesses or experiences our services.
Our commitment
We want every client to feel comfortable, understood and properly supported throughout their time working with us.
We recognise that people’s needs vary, and we aim to think ahead about likely barriers rather than waiting to be asked. If there is something we can do to make our service work better for you, we want to know.
How we adapt our services
As a video-consultation based practice, we consider accessibility across communication, appointment format, and the materials we provide, including:
- Communication — we can adjust how we communicate during consultations, including speaking pace, use of plain language, providing written summaries of verbal advice, or allowing extra time to process information and ask questions.
- Appointment format and length — we can offer longer appointments, additional breaks, or split a consultation across more than one session for clients who find longer periods of concentration difficult, including those with chronic illness, fatigue-related conditions, or neurodivergence.
- Written materials — recommendations, handouts and plans can be provided in alternative formats where needed, such as larger text or a simplified layout, and we aim for our documents and client portal to be as screen-reader friendly as possible.
- Flexibility around technology — we can support clients in using our video consultation platform and client portal, and can discuss alternative ways of communicating if these tools are not accessible to you.
- Sensory and processing considerations — we are happy to adjust lighting, background or pacing during video calls, and to check in regularly to make sure the format is working for you.
This website
We aim to keep this website usable for everyone. Its pages are plain HTML that can be read without JavaScript, images carry text alternatives, and the site is built to be navigable by keyboard and readable by screen readers. There are no pop-ups, auto-playing media or cookie banners to work around.
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, please tell us and we will help you get the information you need another way — by telephone, by email, or in a different format.
Requesting an adjustment
You do not need a diagnosis or formal documentation to ask for an adjustment. If there is anything that would help you get the most out of your consultations, please let us know, ideally before your first appointment so that we can prepare properly, though you are welcome to raise it at any point.
You can request an adjustment by contacting us using the details below. Any information you share with us about your needs will be treated confidentially and used only to support how we work with you.
