These Terms of Business apply whenever you book a consultation or programme with RLT Nutrition, provided by Ruth Trimbitas, a Registered Nutritional Therapist (MNNA). By booking a consultation, you agree to these terms.
About these terms
Please read these terms alongside our Privacy Notice and Clinical & Medical Disclaimer.
Our services and fees
Details of our current services and fees are published on this website and are also confirmed to you before you book. Fees for both initial and follow-up consultations are shown clearly, along with what each fee includes.
We reserve the right to update our fees from time to time. Any change will not affect a service you have already booked and paid for.
Payment
All fees are payable in advance, whether you are booking a single session or a package of sessions. Payment must be received before a consultation takes place; we are unable to offer a pay-after-service option. Where a package is paid upfront, this covers the number of sessions specified at the time of booking.
Cancellations and rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
- 24 hours’ notice or more — no charge, and any fee paid will be refunded in full or applied to your new appointment.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance — 50% of the fee already paid will be retained, with the remaining 50% refunded or applied to a rescheduled appointment.
We will always try to be flexible where genuine emergencies arise, so please get in touch as soon as you can if something comes up.
Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)
As a consumer booking our services online or by phone, you normally have the right to cancel your contract with us within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you would like your first consultation to take place within this 14-day period, we will ask you to expressly request this and to confirm that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once the consultation has been fully carried out. Where a consultation has already taken place at your request within the 14-day period, no refund will be given for that session, even if you later cancel the wider contract.
To cancel within the cooling-off period, simply contact us using the details below before your first consultation takes place.
Refunds
Where you are entitled to a refund under these terms or under your statutory rights, we will process it within 14 days of your cancellation request. Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original booking, unless otherwise agreed.
Fees already paid for sessions you have attended, or for sessions cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice, are non-refundable, except where required by law.
Our commitment and limitations
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, in line with our professional training and the standards of the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA). Full details of the scope and limitations of nutritional therapy, including the fact that it does not replace medical care, are set out in our Clinical & Medical Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law. Otherwise, our liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the service in question.
Your responsibilities
To help us support you safely and effectively, you agree to:
- provide accurate and complete information about your health, medical history, and any medications or supplements you are taking
- inform us of any changes to your health, medication, or circumstances that may be relevant to your programme
- consult your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional as recommended, particularly regarding any existing medical condition
Ending our engagement
You may end your engagement with us at any time by letting us know. We may also decide not to continue working with a client, for example where continuing would not be appropriate or safe, or in line with the circumstances set out in our professional guidelines. Where possible, we will give reasonable notice and support you in finding alternative care.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us using the details below. Our full complaints process is available on request. If your concern is about how we have handled your personal information, please see our Data Protection Complaints Procedure.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Business from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services or the law. The current version will always be available on this website. Any changes will not apply retroactively to a service you have already booked.
