If you have any concerns about how we have collected, used, stored or shared your personal information, we want to hear about it and will take your complaint seriously.
Our commitment
RLT Nutrition is committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly. This procedure explains how to raise a data protection concern with us and what you can expect once you do.
How to make a complaint
You can make a data protection complaint to us by emailing ruth@rlt-nutrition.co.uk.
You do not need to use this method specifically — you can raise a data protection concern with us in any way that suits you, including by letter, by telephone, or in person, and we will treat it as a formal complaint.
When you contact us, please include as much detail as possible, including:
- your name and contact details
- a clear description of your concern
- any relevant dates, documents or correspondence
- what outcome you are hoping for
What happens next
We will:
- acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days of receiving it
- investigate the matter thoroughly and fairly
- contact you if we need any further information to look into your complaint
- provide a full response within 30 days of receiving your complaint, explaining what we found and any action we have taken or propose to take
If your complaint is complex and we need more time, we will let you know, explain why, and give you an updated timescale for our response.
If you are not satisfied with our response
We hope to resolve any concerns directly with you. However, if you remain unhappy with our response, or with how we have handled your personal information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent regulator for data protection.
You can contact the ICO at:
- Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
- Helpline: 0303 123 1113
- Post: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
You do not need to complain to us first before contacting the ICO, although we would always welcome the opportunity to resolve your concern directly.
